I created a recipe spread for a clementine cake using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. For the type, I used the fonts Apolline for the ingredients and instructions and BC Alphapipe for the titles.
For this project, I designed recipe pages for a clementine cake, inspired by The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I used Adobe Illustrator to create illustrations of clementines and leaves that I placed onto the pages in Adobe InDesign. I also created shapes to give my recipe pages dimension which are blown up and layered under the clementines.
For the images used on the spread, I baked the cake and took photos with my iPhone of the process as well as the finished product which is displayed on the cover page. I took these images into photoshop to light them up and saturate them as well as create clippings of some of the ingredients for my earlier drafts.

Below are some of my original sketches to brainstorm how I wanted to lay out all of the elements on the spread. I played around with using the curves of the cake to guide my spread, but ultimately decided to go with flat text for a cleaner page.
